Velocity in the Preferences Pane within the GrandArtist App provides lineair top and bottom adjustment changing the sound from loud and clear to soft and round. Mostly just to lower the Max Velocity creates a pleasant sound.

Velocity adjustment in a DAW like Logic Pro. Select the Velocity Processor in your track channel to adjust. The GA App is connected via Utility / External Instrument. In depth info on:

Connecting within a DAW : Logic Pro - MainStage - Gig Performer

Connect within a DAW: Logic Pro or MainStage: Create a new track. In the mix channel strip: select Input / Utility – External Instrument – GrandArtist   

Gig Performer is available via https://gigperformer.com   

In order to use GrandArtist in Gig Performer, select / right click in f.i. the Piano panel or a new Rackspace MIDI Out (GrandArtist).

In that way GrandArtist is connected with Gig Performer
